We are completely fascinated by the Abyssinian Cat with her charming temperament and her graceful beauty.
Abys are very vivacious, curious, social and full of ideas. Those who don't feel bothered by this, but like to have a little goblin at their homes, will have lot of joy with this breed.

We are also fascinated by their look, because they are very much resembling  the Egyptian temple cats, although there is no proof for any connection between them. However, the Egyptians kept Junglecats (felis chaus), who have a lot of similarity with Abyssinian. Even more similarity is between Abyssinians and crosses of Junglecat x African wild cat (Felis silvestris lybica), the wild ancestors of our domestic cats, especially in colour. Shape of head and body of the Abyssinian Cats have a very 'natural' look  without any exaggeration, which come very close to our ideal of a cat.

This is why for many cat friends, the Abyssinian Cats simply is THE CAT. But have a look yourself and be charmed.
